Enhancing Detox

Enhancing Detox - Helping Your Body:

Massage: Massaging mobilizes your lymphatic system and improves effectiveness. You can book a professional massage or give yourself a daily self-massage.

  • Start with massaging the muscles in your hands and gently massage up your arm toward your chest. Massage your chest muscles to stimulate your lymphatic system.
  • Lay on your back and gently rub circles around your belly, starting at your sternum and circling counter-clockwise to stimulate digestion.
  • Use your knuckles gently along your jaw, from chin to ear, and down your neck.
  • Consider using a face roller or gua sha for lymphatic drainage.

Skin Exfoliation: Your skin is a major organ of detoxification. Try dry brushing on dry skin just before your shower.

  • Use a loofah, body brush, or exfoliating gloves to remove the outer layer of dead skin and the toxins it carries.
  • Dry brushing stimulates regeneration of the next layer of cells.
  • Combine dry brushing with self-massage for added benefits.

Sauna: Sweating is a great way to detoxify, and saunas can aid in the process.

  • Traditional sauna heats your skin, while infrared sauna uses safe infrared light waves that penetrate deeper into your body.
  • Infrared sauna may be better tolerated and more effective in mobilizing fluids and detoxification.
  • You can also take a hot bath to induce sweating if that suits your preferences.

Oil Pulling: An Ayurvedic practice that aids in detoxification and dental hygiene.

  • Take 1 tablespoon of organic coconut oil and swish it gently in your mouth. Spit it into the garbage and rinse well with warm water before brushing your teeth.
  • Start slow with 1 teaspoon of oil for 10 minutes and gradually increase the duration.
  • Do oil pulling in the morning before eating and ensure not to swallow the oil.

Gentle Stretching or Yoga: Moving your body is important during detox, but avoid extreme exercises.

  • Engage in gentle body movements like stretching and yoga.
  • Incorporate short walks throughout the day to keep your body moving and prevent toxins from staying stagnant.

Remember, enhancing your body's natural detox process can provide additional benefits after years of toxin exposure.
