Week 1 Eliminations
During week one of the program, the following dietary items are to be eliminated:
- Sugar
- White and brown sugar, including turbinado
- Products that include refined sugar (ice cream, pastries, candy, sodas)
- Honey
- Maple syrup
- High fructose corn syrup
- Artificial sweeteners
- Equal®
- Nutrasweet®
- Splenda®
- Sweet and Low®
- Fruit juice
- Apple juice
- Orange juice (including fresh squeezed)
- Pineapple juice
- Grape juice, etc.
Hidden Sugars: Sugar can be disguised under various names, so it's important to read ingredient labels diligently during the elimination phase of the program.
Note on Alcohol: If you are a daily heavy drinker, it is crucial to consult your doctor before quitting alcohol abruptly due to the potential risks of alcohol withdrawal. Please seek medical guidance.
