What to Expect

Introduction Week: Total Health Reset

During this Introduction Week, we will provide you with the necessary tools to prepare your kitchen and mindset for the upcoming weeks of the Total Health Reset program. We understand that making significant changes in your life requires some preparation. This chapter contains a wealth of resources, including tips and tricks, goal-setting exercises, shopping guides, and more. While you may not need all of them at this point, they will become invaluable as you progress through the program.

Understanding the Program

So, what is the Total Health Reset program? It is designed to guide you step-by-step through an elimination diet, a gentle detoxification protocol, and a reintroduction phase. But what does that mean, and what should you expect?

  1. An Exploratory Tool: This program is not just another diet. Consider the elimination protocol as an experiment for your specific body. We will eliminate certain foods that may surprise you, making you question whether they are truly beneficial or difficult to give up. These eliminations are meant to be short-term and educational. By closely following the eliminations, you will gain insight into how specific foods are processed by YOUR body. What works for one person may cause issues for another. By removing potential triggers and reintroducing them one at a time, you will develop a personalized food plan that eliminates the need for future diets.
  2. Kindness and Self-Care: Embarking on this journey may bring up challenging emotions surrounding food and your body. It's important to be kind to yourself and acknowledge that it won't be easy all the time. Proactively prepare for these moments by identifying sources of support, planning self-care strategies, and anticipating challenges before they arise. Remember that you've made an incredible decision to prioritize your health. Stay focused on your why and approach this process as a gift to yourself—a significant and transformative present.
  3. Open-Mindedness: Many participants have previously made dietary changes, tried different protocols or supplements, or consulted with healthcare professionals. While there may be some overlap with your previous experiences, this program offers a unique approach, sequence, and magnitude of changes. Keep an open mind, as if you're encountering this information for the first time. Embrace new perspectives and be ready to learn.

  • Careful Food Reintroductions and Observations: In Week 7, you will begin the process of reintroducing eliminated foods one at a time. Pay close attention to how your body responds to each reintroduced food, noting any symptoms or reactions. This observation phase will provide valuable insights into your individual food sensitivities.
  • Continued Use of Food-as-Medicine and Nutraceuticals: Continue utilizing the principles of using food as medicine to support your body's systems. Additionally, maintain the targeted use of nutraceuticals (supplements) to improve specific areas of your health.
  • Retest Assessments: Retake the assessments conducted in the early stages of the program, including the MSQ (Medical Symptoms Questionnaire), Promis 29, and What's Your Why?. By comparing your previous results with the new ones, you can evaluate the progress you've made and identify areas that may still require attention.
  • Create a Sustainable Life Plan: Based on your experiences, observations, and the knowledge gained throughout the program, you will have the opportunity to create a sustainable Life Plan. This plan will serve as a guide for maintaining your newfound health and well-being for the rest of your life. It will incorporate the strategies, habits, and practices that have proven most effective for your individual needs.
