Welcome to the Total Health Reset Program! Congratulations on your decision to improve your health and make positive changes in your life. Change is an inevitable part of life, and it can either lead us towards what is healthy and good or towards what is unhealthy and detrimental. We are excited that you have chosen to move towards what is healthy and good for you. As you embark on this process, it will require a new way of thinking.

Albert Einstein once said, "We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them." With new thinking comes the opportunity to change established habits and patterns that have brought you to this point and adopt new rhythms and routines that are nourishing and life-giving.

Embracing Change

Making changes always comes with its own set of challenges. We have spent a lifetime developing certain eating habits or neglecting our well-being in various ways, and these patterns have etched themselves into the fabric of our neurology. Like grooves on a record or a CD, our thinking, emotions, and actions form repetitive patterns. Often, these patterns keep repeating, just like a CD on repeat or a scratched record. When we begin to make new decisions, the old thoughts and actions may feel threatened and dig their heels in. The voice of self-sabotage may arise, tempting us with comfort food, indulgent chocolate bars, or post-game pizza. We may feel small and weak in comparison, or face pressure from family and friends who resist our change. But remember this: change is possible, no matter the circumstances. It takes baby steps and commitment, one day at a time, or even one meal at a time.

Change is a Process

Just as none of us walked before crawling or ran before walking, change is a process, not an event. This program is a process, not an event. While you may look back on it in retrospect as one of the most impactful events in your life, as you go through it, it's a process. From the moment you commit to this program and your desire for greater health and well-being, you will have the opportunity to learn many new strategies for a healthy life. This guidebook is meant to guide you through this experience and provide you with all the tools you need for success. However, there is one thing it cannot do for you, and that is to make the commitment to yourself and this program.

Commitment and Success

Your degree of success in this program depends on the extent to which you devote yourself to following the guidance laid out for you. Remember, you get what you put in, and commitment is necessary. As the motivational speaker Denis Waitley said, "Commitment is that turning point in your life when you seize the moment and convert it into an opportunity to alter your destiny." Now, you have the opportunity to seize this moment and alter the destiny of your health and well-being, one day at a time.

Whether you've tried everything and feel at the end of your rope or you're just starting to experience symptoms and don't know where to go, we understand that there is an overwhelming amount of information out there, making it difficult to discern what is right and what is wrong.
